Shannon Owen is a proud Austinite — deeply rooted in the communities she serves and passionate about helping clients navigate every stage of their real estate journey. With $110,000,000 in lifetime closed sales and $20M+ in 2025 production, Shannon is a top-producing residential real estate broker with Compass serving buyers, sellers, and investors across West, South, and Southwest Austin.

Raised in West Austin, Shannon has lived in Rollingwood, Woods of Westlake, Lost Creek, Rob Roy, Central Austin (“the ‘04”), Circle C, and currently resides in Southwest Austin. Her hyperlocal knowledge spans generations of neighborhood growth, giving her clients both historical perspective and forward-looking insight.
Her real estate career began in 2000 while attending the University of Texas, where she studied Spanish (she is bilingual) and Business while working in leasing and residential sales. In 2003, she moved to Spain to lead a study abroad program before transitioning to banking in New York City. Like many Austinites, she eventually found her way home — bringing with her global perspective and business discipline.

In 2010, Shannon earned her MBA from the Acton School of Entrepreneurship, one of only five women in her class of 32. It was there she refined her passion for service, leadership, and building systems that support long-term client success. Today, she combines entrepreneurial strategy with deep Austin roots to deliver exceptional outcomes at every price point.

Personal
Shannon is married to Steven Owen, another Austinite (and Commercial Real Estate Broker at Compass), whom she met at age 14. They lead the family with their strong Faith and have four children: Westyn, Liam, Brazos, and Aspen, and are looking forward to their first family mission trip in the summer of 2026. They attend Austin Ridge Bible Church, where they've been members for 8 years. In 2019, she and Steven purchased their current home, giving Shannon a renewed perspective on the emotional and strategic elements of the process.

Steven Owen
REALTOR®
Steven is a born and raised Austinite. He graduated from Westlake High School in 1997, earned his BS in Engineering from SMU in 2001, and an MBA in Finance from NYU in 2009. Steven has broad experience as both an entrepreneur and as a big company executive. Previous ventures include being CFO/COO and partner of the beverage company CLEAN Cause, Founder and President of EZ Gold Exchange -- a SaaS software company, and President and COO of Wondercide. He also has prior experience in the technology industry including fintech, cloud computing, and earlier in his career as an IBM Executive was responsible for over $100 million in projects with Fortune 100 companies – including the development of some of the world’s top supercomputers. Having grown up in a ‘real estate family’ and experiencing the exciting growth of Austin, Steven has found a calling in Real Estate - particularly focused on the commercial side.
Steven specializes in commercial real estate investments, acquisitions, and dispositions including land, retail, and office.
Steven and his beautiful wife Shannon of 11 years are proud parents of two sons and two daughters. When they have a chance to get away, they like to spend time on Lake LBJ and in Colorado.
Steven’s a dedicated professional with a knack for applying his broad experience in unique and valuable ways for his clients.

Joyce Greene
Licensed Assistant to Score Group
Joyce is a Licensed Realtor® with over 22 years of experience in the real estate industry working with Buyers, Sellers, Landlords, and Tenants in accomplishing their real estate needs. A few words to describe Joyce are compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, mindful, and energetic. After running her own Brokerage for 10 years Joyce joined SCORE Group in 2022 in a support role using her experience, organizational skills, and eye for detail in an administrative role. Handling any and all tasks necessary to keep the team running smoothly.
Joyce supports Shannon with residential sales by coordinating vendors to get a home ready to list including staging, marketing, cleaning, and repairs. For Shannon's buyer clients Joyce does property searches for on and off-market properties prepare offers for Shannon's review and helps keep the client informed every step of the way.

For Steven, Joyce provides support with commercial sales by preparing contracts, coordinating marketing efforts and monitoring deadlines from contract to close.

Rachel Silverman

Rachel has worked in the real estate profession for over a decade. Although her passion began on the home-selling side, it quickly spilled over to representing buyers as her business grew. She has a strong sense of fairness and believes that good agents can create win-win situations in which everyone can benefit and even thrive.
Rachel has been a licensed Realtor since 2008. She moved into a position as a coordinator to spend more time with her beautiful children Evelyn, Luke, and Alana whom she flat out adores. A self-confessed foodie, Rachel loves finding new and interesting dishes and out-of-the-way restaurants where she can enjoy great food with family and friends. Rachel believes in three things: living fully, loving completely, and paying it forward.

Christy Buchanan
Listing Coordinator
As a native Austinite, Christy brings 30+ years of local knowledge to Realty Austin. She began her real estate career 8 years ago, managing a private investor's residential and commercial properties. 4 years later she transitioned into listing management and contract to close for one of the top teams at Keller Williams. In July of 2019, she came to Realty Austin, allowing her to not only help the ones closest to her buy and sell real estate but also to work in a position she could be passionate about and that supported her in growing professionally. With a background in marketing and photography, she thrives on being creative and designing listings that stand out against the rest. Outside of working hours she loves spending time with her husband (Justin) and children (Megan, Matt, and Jameson), traveling to new places, and going to the lake.
